Ed Tandy McGlasson

Send us a text

We explore the profound connection between the way we live as fathers and the starting point our children inherit. This episode explores how generational patterns of fear and limitation can be overcome through faith.

• The tragedy of living below your potential because of fear inherited from your father
• How receiving (or not receiving) a father's blessing impacts your courage to take risks
• The biblical story of the sons of Reuben, who settled for less than God's promise
• When children see their fathers taking risks in faith, it permits them to do the same
• God doesn't waste hurts - He uses them to shape us when we stand rather than run
• Breaking generational patterns requires being fathered by God Himself
• The way you walk before the Lord transfers directly into your children's future

Speaker 1:

Okay, well, welcome I'm here, and boy, it took a while for the live function to come back. I'm sorry if you've been waiting on me, and so I'm your host, ed Taney-McGlasson, and there we go. I'm going to get Instagram going and let me grab this and move this over. So, boy, we're getting all this stuff in line. So, welcome to the Father Difference. I'm so glad you're here. Let me know where you're coming from. That would be great. Okay, I am flying solo here tonight, but I'm glad that you're here watching and definitely learning a lot about these things. So, okay, what do we got going on here? Okay, all right, let me just hang with me here. Okay, there we go. I'm going to get you on the right screen. I'd love to hear where you guys are coming in from. Let me know in the chat. And tonight we're going to talk about are you living for less? Just kind of hang with me. So let me ask you a question Are you living exactly where God wants you to live this time in your life? Are there some places that you can tell that when you came out of your childhood? There are places in you that you've been holding back and you're just wondering. You know, did you miss the boat with God? And tonight we're going to talk about chapter two of the Father You've Always Wanted and I have my notes here in just a second so glad you're with me hung with me.

Speaker 1:

Last week we got throttled, which is the craziest thing I've ever seen. I think it was Instagram. They just sort of shut me down right in the middle of the show and I'm not sure why that happened. So anyway, don't want to completely blame them, but I was talking about the importance of a father's blessing. That's what we were talking about last week. And as soon as I started talking about that, well, I got boop and we were gone and so and I thought, whoa, that's strange. And then I rebooted and you guys came back back and I said the same, almost same phrase again and froze up Full internet service, etc. All that to say that's a lousy introduction about what we're going to do, but we're going to talk about is it ever too late? About what we're going to do, but what we're going to talk about is at Ever Too Late.

Speaker 1:

And if you're new here, I'm Ed Tain McGrath and I'm your host and I'm kind of the president and founder of the Father Difference. It's a nonprofit ministry and we help men like you become the best husband or father. You can be the father you've always wanted to be, and that's a powerful thing for us to have as a man. And so tonight we're going to talk and for some reason, we got throttled again. So, anyway, and so I'm boy I am definitely learning a lot in this session. We're starting to talk about the importance of a father's blessing, and so, if you got knocked out of there, let me check my Instagram friends. No, they're still there, and so we're definitely going to figure this out before we're done tonight. So, all that to say, let's talk about chapter two. That's what we're starting tonight to talk about.

Speaker 1:

And if you were to go back and think about coming from your childhood and some of your big takeaways in life, do you ever feel like maybe you're living for less? Oh, there's one of my Holloway friends joining. Good to see you, mr Holloway, on Instagram. And one of the most powerful things in our life that can happen to us is when we begin to believe. And this is the place that I begin to understand. Is that the man that I was and the man that I was living and who God has called me to be and the way I live that life really can determine the way my children start out their story and the way they live their life, and so I end up spending some time just learning something a number of years ago I'm going to share with you out of my book the Father. You've Always Wanted and we're going through this study here. You can get it on Kindle, on Google, if you're out of the country. I suggest you do that. The shipping for us to get it to you out of the United States is just real too high. You can get it on Amazon, but it'll be a great thing for you kind of process and it'll really help you discover the incredible plan that God, the Father, has for you as a man.

Speaker 1:

And tonight's about men, on Thursday at 12 o'clock Pacific time, is about gals, and if you're going to let your girlfriend know, your wife know, it's called the Difference a Mother Makes. These are all recorded. They're also going to appear on Facebook Live and Instagram and in all the different platforms. But this is such an important subject right now in our country and in the world of the kind of difference that we can make, and if you notice that there's a lot. There's a huge battle to keep you, dad, out of the game of your children, and different governments around the world think it's their job to be the mama and the papa. Well, guess what? That doesn't work for your kids, that doesn't work for them, their core identity. And so tonight I'm going to share with you a story that's so profound in the Bible. And first I want to ask you a couple of questions. Well, you know, robert Bly, the poet wrote this. Well, you know, robert Bly, the poet, wrote this.

Speaker 1:

Not receiving any blessing from your father is an injury. So true. Our sense of self-worth, confidence, courage to take risk is directly proportionate sorry about the spelling there to the support a father gives. Now, you can have all kinds of, you know people telling you that you don't matter as a man or you somehow are toxic as a man. But let me tell you there's something profoundly deep inside of you as a father that your children need. That's a big reason we have this ministry and kind of what we do because you are vital. You're vital to the story of your children. You're vital to the identity of your daughters, the identity of your children. You're vital to the identity of your daughters, the identity of your sons.

Speaker 1:

Whether you're still married or not, you will always be a father, and we started out this study many months ago with one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It's hidden in the book of Genesis. It says when Enoch became a father, he walked with God for the rest of his days. There's something incredibly powerful that happens inside of you as a man when you have a son or a daughter and I know that mama pushed him out, but there's something that happens that is desperately needed in your child. From you, your look, your smile, your words and ultimately, the man you are when no one is looking, will begin the beginning of the history of your children and learning. That in my life and we're going to share a little bit about that today boy, that kind of rocked me, that man.

Speaker 1:

I need to definitely up my game, and so when we go in chapter you know, babe Ruth, the famous American baseball player, said don't let the fear of striking out keep you from swinging for the fence. Boy, is that true? Is that true? And you know he had such a crazy life, but man, he swang for the fence with all of his heart. In baseball, it's the same with us as men.

Speaker 1:

And the other truth is that my question to you tonight is how many times have you held back from something that you were called to do because you were fearful? How many times? And while you just are like paralyzed and you just don't feel like you can move forward, well, that's a painful thing, um, to deal with in your own life. Here's the other question I have on that slide how many times have you second guessed yourself out of a dream? I meet, uh, men every day. We coach, we have a coaching program and I meet every day who, guys who say know I feel like I blew it, I just didn't have enough faith to trust God and to do this or etc. Whether sometimes we have things we want to do that aren't God's plan. But then there's other things, as we get older, where we begin to think about, where we know that maybe we backed away too soon or we were fearful to try. See, god's made you for something more than just existing. He's made you for an incredible destiny.

Speaker 1:

Matter of fact, in my book I talk about this there's correlation between the way your dad celebrated you as a son or a daughter and the way you face challenges in your life. See if your dad was present and loving, then the sky's the limit. If you know that, no matter what happens, your dad's going to back you up, you take bigger risks. That's why you know when your son is doing something crazy. He's looking at you, right, he's going for something, he's playing soccer on the soccer field. If you're in Europe or in Africa and a friend from Africa is online tonight or you're, you know you're at a school play. It gives them confidence because it's like when my daddy's there there's nothing I can't do. It gives them courage.

Speaker 1:

But if you live with a remote, demanding father say a father who doesn't know how to be in your story because his dad wasn't in his story and say he was remote and demanding, you probably are trying to—now look at this—you're trying to fill the stands with your own audience in a futile attempt to feel loved and adored. In a futile attempt to feel loved and adored. My friends that's social media. I meet people all the time who have thousands of friends right and yet nobody really knows them. I love this comment here from I probably will say it wrong Crescentilla in Christ, crescent in Christ.

Speaker 1:

God gave me the faith to leave home. At a young age he gave me a psalm, psalm 27, verse 10. I love this as a promise that he would adopt me. Oh man, you got it going on At 17,. I left home and trusted God with that promise and I've been the first in many things. See, that's what I'm talking about. Thank you for sharing that. That's incredible when you're living on the edge, knowing that your dad's going to back up. And what I appreciate so much about—I think this is a daughter here talking—was that she says he gave me the promise that he would adopt me. That's what that sort of blessing of the Father comes into our life. That's such a profound thing in our story that God, the Father himself and we learned this last week when he said I'll be a father to you and you will be my sons and daughters says the Lord, god, almighty man. What a promise that is that God wants to be a father in our story. Well, guess what? We just got to let Him become that father, because if we try to father ourselves, we're going to mess it up. We're going to mess it up.

Speaker 1:

Here's another thought from the book in chapter 2, and that is Albus Switzer said remember the famed missionary the tragedy of life is what dies inside a man while he lives. And he's actually making this quote after coming back, after actually being in Africa and being on a mission field and seeing a lion in a cage, and he wrote in there that if you get caged long enough and you're a lion, you forget that you're a lion Boy. That's what the devil wants to do with you. And that's right, chris. And he did the same with Abraham. He called Abraham to a place he needed to go, he blessed Abraham and actually put the ham in the and the Abraham. His name was Abraham and he had and I might, I might have a Kate khaki here, boy, it would be great if, if you, I'd just love her to death. If that's you there, join, welcome to our live feed tonight.

Speaker 1:

And so a part of what God's doing is that you know has some good dream or hope died inside of you, is something dying inside of your children, if you got kids. See, it's easy for us to be the same kind of dream killer that our past has been to us. What I meant by that is that who in your family, when your kids look your way if you got children is spurring your kids to live their dream. It's spurring them to go risk, because they're going to start out risking like you do. They're going to start out in the model of the way you're living your life and when you're out there and you're going for it, your children know that, hey, my dad did this or mom did this or get this, my stepmom lived this way or my stepdad did this way. They're looking for a model, they're looking for somebody who is going to live that life and that's so vital.

Speaker 1:

See, after living in slavery in Egypt for generations, you know, there's a story I want to share with you and it's one of my favorite stories, but it's one of those stories that just completely woke me up. It's about the sons of Reuben in the Bible. And so, after living in slavery all these years, and Moses, you know, takes the people of Israel and they're out there and they're right on the edge of the promised land, all they got to do is cross the Jordan River one more time. They had gone 40 years and, you know, god miraculously saved them, delivered them, and only to fall, you know, into 40 years of wandering in the desert. Finally, the whole nation came to the edge of the Jordan River, and across that ribbon of water was the bountiful land God had promised them, a land to give the tribe of Reuben and Gad, a land to give the tribe of Reuben and Gad the Bible talks about. So they get to the edge of this river and they'd actually been here before and we're going to get to that in the end of this.

Speaker 1:

But they were struggling all those 40 years because they disobeyed God and didn't live by faith. They didn't trust the guy who brought 2.2 million Jewish captive slaves out of Egypt, took care of them for 40 years. Their sandals didn't even wear out. His presence was there in the tabernacle in the wilderness. He provided bread on the ground every day for food, and then they whined about bread. They got tired of manna. Bread, manna, soup, manna everything. Manna actually means in Hebrew. What is it? And it would show up every day. God tried to shut their whining up, put quail. So they were eating so much quail. They said stop. And God was constantly giving permission to try to bring them to a place where he could turn them from their slave mentality being slaves in the world to a kingdom of priests before him, a royal priesthood that included men and women.

Speaker 1:

And so they get to the edge of this river and the sons of Reuben and Gad, they're looking now at the land that God promised would flow with milk and honey. It was pretty much everything they dreamed about longing for during their time in the desert and they had this history. But here's the problem this was the second time they were there, because 40 years earlier their fathers came to this same river and were sent out. The tribes were sent out to spy out the land and they came over and as they came back, in advance of the Israelites crossing over, upon seeing the fierce warriors who inhabited there, they were a giant. They were giant people and all the spies turned tail and run and Reuben and Gad ran away and they were fearful because they would rather settle for another place in the desert than to face those giants.

Speaker 1:

But Caleb and Joshua, they come back and they were carrying one bushel of grapes. The fruitfulness was just extraordinary and it was on their backs and they were carrying it. And they come across and the people are whining and scared. They're giants. We're going to be like grasshoppers. We're going to be destroyed All along, not understanding that a dream and a calling is impossible to do without God. How many know that's true? Give me an amen, that's just the way it is.

Speaker 1:

And so Reuben and Gad they're carrying this, you know. They've come back and they see now Joshua and Caleb and Caleb's older in his life, he's an older man and they come back. They give this incredible report about this land flowing with milk and honey. Look at the size of the grapes. Imagine the wine that we can make. That's nothing. Everything in this land is blessed by God, and Reuben and Gad were terrified, and so they challenged Moses in their leadership.

Speaker 1:

And so guess what happens? The leadership, you know, of all the other tribes, including the tribe that missed out on the promised land, and because of their fear, they didn't get the cross that day. And they didn't realize at the time they were limiting the horizon of their children, the future of the children and the way they live. That's why who you are in the dark, as a mom and dad, is where your children are going to start. That's why it's so important to live the life that God's calling you to live, to be that man, be that woman, be that father, be that mother, be that grandpa, be that grandma that you are saying in the way you live your life, son. Live this way so they see a model. It gives your children tremendous confidence. Let's get back in the story. You want to find out the rest.

Speaker 1:

And so they walk up to Moses and here's now a Reuben, and you know. They walk up to the leader of the whole nation and they say if we found favor in your sight, let this land pointing to the less fruitful part of the land on the other side of the desert this fruitful land in the desert of this side of the Jordan, be given to your servants for possession, but don't take us across the Jordan River. In other words, we heard stories from our dad. These are the sons of Reuben and Gad. We heard the stories about the Johns. We don't want to go over there. Well, can you imagine You're living your life in such a way that you're just putting fear in your children. So now their kids are adults and they're facing going across this river and they say this to Moses.

Speaker 1:

And Moses can't believe his ears and he goes, asks the sons of Reuben just what an incredible question. And it's a question for us too. He says, sal, your brothers go to war while you sit here. There's 12 tribes of Israel and Reuben and Gad had their own tribe. So shall your brothers go to war while you sit here? Why will you discourage the heart of the people of Israel from going into the land that the Lord has given them? Why would you do this? And then he says your fathers did this. Gosh, what a rebuke. See, they'd seen the model of their dad, they'd heard the stories and their dads chickened out. They must have been young kids at the time, and now they're leaders in the tribe of Israel and they're doing the same things their fathers did. Gosh, what a devastating moment for them.

Speaker 1:

But it doesn't end there. And so they decide okay, we're going to go fight. And so they decided okay, we'll go in and go fight. And they went in and they fought the battles with everybody else. And they come back after they fight and they make a decision and they go to Moses and they go listen, we'll fight the battles, but let us stay back on this side of the Jordan.

Speaker 1:

In other words, we don't want to live in the land of milk and honey over here. We want to live in this land. This is comfortable for us. In other words, this doesn't stretch us. That's how you know you're not living in a dream because you're not being stretched, you're not living in a place where you're, like on the edge of disaster sometimes, because God calls us to things that we need His presence, his supernatural power, love and presence in our life to be able to do what he's made us to do. Presence in our life to be able to do what he's made us to do. And when we're living in that place and standing in faith to do what God's called us to do, it's awesome.

Speaker 1:

It could be—I mean, you might be in a place where you're challenged in your life. Maybe you're married, and you're married to a crazy person and you're hanging in there because God—you're trusting in God as a wife, or vice versa. Maybe you're a husband and your wife is hurting and you have the options to quit and leave, but you stay. You stay because you trust in God's provision more than in your own strength, and your kids see that. They see how you go through those things. So he goes and next thing he hears is after they finish the wars and Reuben and Gad are on one side of the Jordan and all the other 10 tribes on the other side, in the land of milk and honey. The prophet Deborah, god gave her a prophetic song for every single tribe, and when she saw the land of Reuben, she sang Among the clans of Reubenuben there is great searching of heart. They were saying why did you sit still among the sheepfolds to hear the whistling for the flocks? Among the clans of Reuben, there was great searching of heart, gosh.

Speaker 1:

I remember reading that and it just hit me. Am I living in such a way where I'm settling for less? Are you living in such a way where you're settling for less? Are you living in such a way where you're settling for less? And you know it, you feel it every day. You wake up and you're sort of like a lion that's caged. You've forgotten that you're a lion and you want to change. You want to do it, but fear grabs your day and let me tell you, when you live in faith, it're constantly bombarded by the enemy to get you to quit. To get you to quit, and the person who lives in faith isn't fear-free. The person who lives in faith takes a step towards that fear in the name of Jesus and does it anyway, and his provision and his power in everything happened. I mean crossing over that Jordan River. They had to put their foot in that river, and it wasn't just this little shallow river, but they had to make a step, like the Red Sea. And when they did, we're talking about a gigantic group of people, millions of people. God held the water back, that God made a way for us to thrive and defeat the giants and to live in the land of milk and honey. Is that what you want? What a powerful thing, of course, and such a powerful place to live when you live in that place. And so I'm going to a few more notes here and then I want to pray for you, and I got a special offer for you. I want to share with you tonight.

Speaker 1:

But the children in Reuben were stuck in their father's house of fear. Are you stuck in your dad's house of fear? Maybe Moses rebuked them for when he said and behold, boy, what you don't want to have. Moses say this about you or anybody, but look what he says here in Numbers 32, 14. It's kind of my wake-up call. See, before I get there, this verse, and I'll read this and behold, you have risen in your Father's place, a brood of sinful men. Imagine being named a brood of sinful men as your legacy, to increase still more the fierce anger of the Lord against Israel. It's so powerful Because when you begin to understand that the way you live as a man is the way your children one day will start out their story. They're watching you.

Speaker 1:

It's such a profound thing in your story, in my story, to face those fears, to stand up, to build what God's calling you to build, to not live or stay stuck in your father's house or say your mom was the person that built a prison around your heart and the way she dealt with you, and so it makes you fearful and you've you know you've come out of that kind of jaded kind of whacked. I want to encourage you, make sure you get a out of that kind of jaded kind of whacked. I want to encourage you, make sure you get a copy of this book, the father you've always wanted and, um, you know, I'll let you know how you can get that at the end, and it'll take you through a process of helping unlock that incredible blessing of God, the Father, in your life, so that you don't need to look to another person to find out who God has called you to be. That's just a powerful, a powerful difference, and so I remember reading that just you know and shaken to my roots when I understood—listen to me when I say this to you—that the way I walk before the Lord transfers right into the future of my children's life. That rebuke carries also a promise that our children will also rise up in the place of faith, hope and courage that we live in. And so you're not just living out your own story. We have a world that's all about me.

Speaker 1:

In so many ways, social media is a construct of a guy who couldn't get a date at Harvard, and so it's real easy to just worry about friends and likes and all that kind of stuff. But at the end of the day, who of us lives a life that doesn't affect people around us, our families, our communities, our friends? And it only takes one guy who kind of jumps out of the group, who goes for it. That can change that whole group, can change a whole church, a whole community, a whole football team, baseball soccer team, rugby team. We got friends in Australia here at night and in New Zealand. It can change all those things. Just somebody who breaks out and doesn't do what's normal Because the devil is.

Speaker 1:

In a lot of ways there's a greater level of fear that I see being released. Fear that I see being released than I've ever seen. There's wickedness. Governments are acting wicked. They're not serving us or wanting to be our father and mother. They wanted to dictate to us. They want to control us and it's happened. I can't believe it's happening in Australia and New Zealand. And who ever thought that you know Crocodile Dundee was going to have to live in the backwoods of Australia and stay there because of the way the government's responding in fear and trying to control people. Social media is trying to control people. Elections are, you know. People are trying to control what you think.

Speaker 1:

I encourage you, if you're an American, to vote. Ask God to show you who to vote for. Who is the person that is closest to believes and does what you know? I really went for my family. We need candidates that are pro you father, you mama, you family, more than ever in our country, in the United States.

Speaker 1:

I can't believe we're actually in this space right now in our country, at Argentina and Brazil and Africa, and you know places that have despot leaders who are military-controlled countries. You know what it's like to be a slave. We don't quite have that, but I have brothers who are in our program in Nigeria and in places and Christians are being slaughtered and butchered and they know what it's like to have to live by faith. It costs them something every day, it might cost them their life, but it's worth it, because when you finish at the end of your race, you don't feel like you're a tiger that's caged. You feel like you're making a difference and I wake up. I want that every single day. I want that and I don't get it every day because there's times when Big Ed gets in the way.

Speaker 1:

And you know, and so beloved you know this is part of chapter two. It's never too late for God, the Father, to change your story. And why did children's kids settle for less? It probably won't surprise you You've probably already done this in your head To learn that Reuben was also wounded by his father before him, just as Reuben's sons were wounded by him. Reuben didn't receive a blessing from his father and that caused Reuben to second-guess God and live in fear throughout his whole life. So here's the good news and, to summarize you don't have to live stuck in the brokenness of your dad. You take the best and go with your dad, but ultimately God wants to father you in such a way to where your horizons are unlimited, because he's unlimited. So I want you to do two things if you think about this before we close tonight, and that is two questions. Where have you lived for less than what God wants for you? Just think about that. You can text me or just think about it, write it down if it's too personal, too private, and ask him Lord, how do you want me to change that? And I encourage you to dream again. I encourage you to get some time, get away from the busyness, get away from being online and just get out somewhere.

Speaker 1:

Heidi Baker says that her place of prayer in Mozambique and in Africa is the bush, bush, bush. She goes out there where she can hear the lions roaring and where the snakes are slithering, and she gets up early in the morning and she gets quiet to get with Papa, to get her marching orders for the day. The secret is, what we've been talking about since we started is learning how to connect to God, the Father, and to follow Him, and he's the one who leads you out of that. And also the other part of that question is does your children live the same way, or maybe they're stuck in a moment and you need some help to get them out. That's part of kind of what we do in the ministry, in our training, our online, we have online courses, and so we have coaching time, because it's really never too late for you to make the changes that are necessary in your life, or to learn how to be the kind of father or if you're a gal here the kind of mom or stepmom or wife that God's calling you to be.

Speaker 1:

Because what's so profound is that—have you noticed that God doesn't seem bothered, putting you in impossible circumstances? Putting you in impossible circumstances? Oh, it's like you know, as soon as it happens, you go oh Lord, what did I do? You know why are you taking me through this? And then we find him there. He meets us in the midst of that pain and that craziness and he uses it in our life to shape something in us so that we don't rely on ourselves. We rely on Him, and that is powerful, that's profound. So God doesn't waste a hurt. God doesn't waste a hurt. God doesn't waste a hard time. We will if we run away, but if we stand, he'll meet us. He'll meet you tonight and I so appreciate you hanging with me here on the Father, difference Live. We're live again at 12 o'clock Pacific Standard Time on Thursday, and it's the difference a mama makes. That's where we're talking to gals primarily, though I have guys show up there too, so they're learning how to talk to their women.

Speaker 1:

It's awesome, it's an honor to be able to serve you, but I'd like to pray for you, father. I just thank you for all those that are watching right now. I thank you for Kate and Claudia and Crescent and Stuart and one of my faves, kate Heck Just an incredible woman of God and Orgon and Mr Hansen I don't want to say your name wrong, it's Mohamedou Hanson and so many others. I'm so grateful that you're watching and I pray for their stories. I pray that they would discover how extraordinary you are, father and Jesus. I pray that you would call them into the deeper water again, that place where they got to trust you, where they can't feel the bottom, and they got to trust you that you will provide. I thank you so much for them, lord. I thank you that they're here tonight. I thank you that they're hungry.

Speaker 1:

I pray that you would bless them. I pray that you would meet them. I pray that you would meet them. I pray that you would bring healing in their families. I pray for those gals that are married to impossible men and I pray for those husbands that are married to those impossible gals that they would hang in there and trust you, because you're doing so much in them, and even their man or woman, that they can't possibly see. I pray for those moms and dads who've got kids that are going sideways, who have cut them off. They're not talking anymore or they're stuck, they're out of a job, they're not working, they want to just live on mom and dad's dime all the time. I pray, lord, that you would give them wisdom and, lord, we pray for these young people that you would change their lives. You would change their life in the name of Jesus. Father, I'm just so grateful for my friends that are here that make this possible, and I pray all these things in the name of Jesus and all God's men and women said what Amen.

Speaker 1:

Hey, if you've not gotten your copy of the Father You've Always Wanted, you can get that right here. You can go to my website and get a physical copy, or go online and get a Kindle book. Download it. I guarantee you you're going to love it. It's a lot of tears and weeping in this book. I went through a lot of things in my life and you'll read these stories and you'll be laughing out loud and crying at the same time. Boy, this guy, Ed McGlashan, would really screwed up. Without Jesus man, I'm hopeless. So, anyway, I'm so grateful to share with you tonight.

Speaker 1:

And also, if you want to hear from the Father every day, we have a daily devotional. That's on our website, the Father. Every day, we have a daily devotional. It's on our website. It's a Father difference and you can go to the website and get there and get our daily devotional. It's right here on the bottom of the screen here and it's a free devotional and that's for you and you'll get it every morning. We'll write them every day and we got people all over the world reading them. I'm so grateful, so you get that for free.

Speaker 1:

And also, we also have a coaching group and here's the offer right now and the offer is still free right now and it's limited. It's a limited time to get access to a Tuesday night men's group. If you're game with the recordings and et cetera, you can go there from our website and we'd love to give that to you so that you can be there. Give that to you so that you can be there. And last but not least, is you know, maybe you're in a place and you say you know what, ed, I love what you're doing and I'd like to support you. Well, guess what you can do? That you can go to thefatherdifferencecom and donate. Thefatherdifferencecom and donate. We're starting a whole new fundraising season right now so that we can get these books and everything to as many places in many countries as we can. We're actually in I think the number is 124 countries are downloading my book, the Difference a Father Makes. I don't know if you remember that book, but that book it's on our website and it is being downloaded right now.

Speaker 1:

And so all the courses and everything that we're doing with men in the coaching all takes resource to do and we're expanding our capacity to reach more men and more families, and there's nothing more important, I think, in all the world. I know the election is really important for America. It sure is, but the election will not heal the fatherlessness issue that we have and it will not heal how many of you guys that watch this and gals, many of you are beat up constantly, marginalized, demonized, and our ministry comes along to lift up your hands as a man and to say that God can do something extraordinary with you, no matter how you start it, and so maybe you have a bigger capacity to sow into us. Would you sow your best gift today? Go to our website, thefatherdiverencecom, slash a donate and I don't do this on every show, but we're in a season where we need to raise capital to be able to continue to expand and reach more men, and that would mean so much. Whatever you can do, a monthly amount would be great. You can $25 a month, $100 more $1,000 a month, or you want to do more? Let God speak to you on what you need to do. I'd be grateful for that, but that's how we continue to do what we're doing.

Speaker 1:
