Welcome. Here I am again, Ed Tane McGlassen. And right here, this guy right next to me. I can't believe I got him in here. He is like, I get emails from him from all over the world. Hi, pray for me. I'm on my way to Zambia. Pray for me, I'm on my way here. Pray for me, I'm on my way here. Probably that probably has more frequent flyer miles than most of the airlines put together. Great friend of mine. And what I love about, and this is Mel Tari right here. If you notice, he's a little smaller than me, but he has this beautiful suntan. And he's uh he's always had this incredible heart since Jill and I have known him and watched him and all his friends and all this influence around the world. We thought we'd bring him here to the Father Difference podcast to talk about just uh what he has learned about being a son, being adopted by the Father, and just being a completely open life to him moving in the direction of the Holy Spirit around his life. I think I think, Mel, you've modeled that better than anybody I've ever met. I've you're always he's in my house, not even a minute. I think maybe a minute, and he has already prophesied over me. He's already blessing me. So this welcome to our podcast, Mel Tori.

Welcome, my friend. Oh, yes, Ed. I'm so glad that you give me this opportunity to speak to all your friends out there. You know why, Ed? Because the Father loves them. And I want them to understand the love of the Father may be slightly different than what they have uh known so far. You see, the Bible said, for God so loved the world, it is talking about the father. For the father so loved the world, he gave us his only begotten son. Now, if he gave us his only begotten son, the Bible said, How much more? How can he withhold anything from us? So, if we want to understand the love of the Father, know what he has done. And if he has given the best that heaven has, then nothing else he will withhold from all of us. So, my friend, if you are watching this podcast today, I want you to know that God has in mind about you when he sent Jesus to this world. The prophet Jeremiah said, When you're your mother's womb, I knew you. Who knew you? The Father knew you. He has sanctified you. How he does he does that? By sending his son Jesus, died in the cross, shed his blood, buried, and rose back again from the dead to pay the price for your forgiveness and mine, for your sanctification and mine. So he knew you, he sanctified you and I, and he has a mission for you and I, and that is to be a blessing to the nations. So wherever you're watching, maybe you're in South Africa, maybe in Sierra Leone or Mexico or Argentina or the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, or if you're in the Middle East, you're in Europe, in Poland, France, Netherlands, wherever you are, God has his eyes on you this day. And he wants you to hear the love that he has for you. You know what? If you are the only one that ever lives in this world, he has and will give you his only begotten son. That shows the love that he has for you. So let me tell you something, my friend. Maybe this is the first time you listen to me. Brother Ed has been a good friend all these years, and you have heard from him, but today I just want to say this for you. I want to confirm to you what you have heard from Brother Edia. The Father loves you, and he loves you so much. Just like I said, if you're the only one who lives in this world, he still will send his only begotten son. He will still send Jesus for nobody else but for you. So grab that, understand that, embrace that. Because today is the day he wants you to experience his love in a depth that you have never experienced before.

You're you're getting ready to turn 8-0, right? Or you just turn. I just turned 80 uh last month, yeah. 80 is uh eight times ten, right? That's that you're gonna have ten times the new beginning at 80 years old. Oh, Shakalaraba.

Malaria, Calling, And God Speaks

And I tell you what, Brad, let me tell our friends out there that maybe this is the first time you listen to me. I grew up in the island of Timor, which is in the middle of the Pacific, from the country of Indonesia. As you know, Indonesia is located between two continents, China, Asia to the north and Australia to the south. And between two oceans, the Indian Ocean to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east. Right there on the equator, we have 17,587 islands, according to the last Google count. And I always joke to people. Are they making islands out there? I mean, I always tell the people, you know, when it depends on when the Google camera took place. And if they do it when the the tide is up, you lose a few islands. And when the tide is down and you take the Google picture, well, you gain a few. But let us say about 17,000 islands, and today we have close to 300 million people in that nation with 600 plus tribes from the east to the west and everywhere. And I was born in one of the smaller islands, the island of Timor. When I was about 15 years or so, I fell sick with malaria. And as you know, malaria is worse than COVID, believe me. For a couple of years I was sick, took medication, but nothing happened. Pray, but nothing happened. I went to the church faithfully for all my life. You know, mom and dad took me to the church. I was baptized when I was a baby. I was so young that I didn't even know it took place. But I went to church every day. And so one day when I was about 19 years old, and there's the potential to have a scholarship to go and study and become a medical doctor in the Soviet Union at the time, they have a special university that they build for foreign students, Patrizh Lumumba University in Moscow. So I was thinking to myself, if I go to this school, the Soviets will pay five years, seven years, whatever to go there. And you know what? They aren't going to waste their money for nothing.

They will brainwash you so that at least you will embrace the communist ideology at the time. And in those days, during what we call, those of you who are old enough to remember this, for you young ones, maybe you don't, and that's okay if you miss what we call the Cold War in those days. The Americans and the Soviets compete to influence the young people in the third world countries, as we call it that time. So they gave the scholarship. The Americans will give you the scholarship to come to Harvard or to go to Princeton and all the wonderful schools and universities in this country. And the Soviet will give the scholarship for the young leaders from the third world countries to go to Patricia Lumumba. The reason they do that is they hope that when the young student, after being influenced by them in the universities and go back to their countries, they hope that they will proclaim or they will spread their ideology, and in that way they gain influence for their upcoming leaders in those nations. So I remember I knowing that I said to myself, Lord, you know, I have gone to church for 19 years. I have this malaria, and I'm still sick. Now I remember the Bible said, Ask and you shall receive. Now I know you know that Bible first. If you haven't yet, I tell you what, get your Bible, begin to read it, because the Bible is God's word for this generation, so that you know who the Father is, who Jesus is, who the Holy Spirit is, why you're here and you belong in this world. Why, as I told you a minute ago, Jeremiah said, He knows you and you are in your mother's womb. He has sanctified you, and he has appointed you to be a blessing to the nations. Why is all that? Your Bible will explain it, but of course, if you listen every time to the podcast from Brother Ed here, he will tell you a lot of things. But let me tell my story. So as a God, you said, ask and you shall receive. I have asked for three years or four. Knock and the door shall be open. Sick and you shall find. But how come I still have this malaria? And I heard, I was 19 then, 61 years ago, I heard the voice of the Almighty, the voice that spoke to Moses from the burning birth. Remember, we are excited about the burning birth, represent the Holy Spirit, the fire of God, but the Holy Spirit always carries the word of the living God, the great I am. And the Lord spoke to me and said, Well, you know, you have prayed, you have asked for healing, but you have never received. I'll tell you the reason, because you are not my child yet. You are not a Christian. And I remember thinking to myself, now this is very disgusting. Or at least it hurt my feelings, to say the least. You know, I've gone to church for 90 years here, brother, and this voice from heaven, God said to me that I'm not a Christian. I said, no, no, that's not right. If grandpa and grandma is here and they heard this, they will be a little hurt here. Papa and mama wouldn't be happy. As a matter of fact, I'm not very happy either. So I got off my knees because I was kneeling in the dirt floor in the little house in the island there. I got off my knees, walk out the front door, and I remember, Brother Ed, you're like this. You wouldn't do this, Brother Ed, you're too nice for that. But I said, you know, this is the first time God spoke to me. And he managed to hurt my feelings already. You know what, Jesus? I'm gonna go and stay with my friend for a couple of days until you apologize for the way you're talking. So I did. Went and stayed with my friend, and for a couple of days I was thinking to myself, gee, how come Jesus say that I'm not a Christian, that I'm not a child of God? Well, I want to ask my friends about that, but you know how friends can be difficult and they'll agree with God and hurt your feelings some more. So I didn't talk with him. I went back to the room, knelt down in the dirt floor that God was talking, talking to me a couple days prior. And as I knelt down, I have enough sense. I said, Jesus, I forgive you for the way you talk the other day. If you forgive me for walking out on you, not that he needs any forgiveness. I'm just trying to make sure that uh, you know, lightning from heaven.

Don't hit me. What? How'd you say you? Oh, I was 19. 19 years old. Yeah. 61 years ago. 61 years. And so I said, Jesus, if you forgive me, I forgive you. Let us start the conversation again. I wasn't sure that heaven will talk. But let me tell you something, my friend. Heaven responds. Because God doesn't hold grudge. He knows we are human beings, he knows we are saying stupid things, maybe not you, but I was certainly. So I said, God, please explain. How come you said I'm not a child of God after going to church for 19 years? And he reminded me, and he used the illustration that I totally understand living in the villages.

Barn And Cow: Real Conversion

And I know many of my friends in Africa will understand it. If you live in London or Paris, you might not understand it. Oh, I think you would, but let us just say you wouldn't comprehend it as good as my friends in the islands, my friends down in Latin America. The Holy Spirit said to me, Mel, if going to the barn once a week qualifies you to become a cow, then going to the church once a week will qualify you to become a Christian. And I remember thinking to myself, here brother, you know, this is terrible, but God has a point. This voice is right. You can go to the barn once a week, you can sleep in the barn every night, but the worst that can happen is that you smell like a cow, got dirtier like or more than a cow, but you don't become a cow by just going or sleeping in the barn. Then all of a sudden I got the revelation, the truth. Well, so now you can go to the church, you can go to the temple, you can go to the place of worship, whatever you call it, but you don't become the child of God by going to a building, just like you don't become a cow by going to the barn. So how can you become the child of God? Apostle John said it very simply. As many as receive him, who is him? Jesus. Who is Jesus? The one that the Father sent to you. As many as receive him unto their life. Like Jesus said to the Nicodemus, they will be born again, and they will receive the power to become the child of God. After 19 years going to church, brother, I understood it. And that day, 61 years ago, I received Jesus as my Savior. And I knew four things that never left me. First, I knew that my sins were forgiven. You know, many people all over the world would like their sins to be forgiven. If you ask anybody, and if he asks you today, would you like your sins to be forgiven? If you're smart, you'll say yes. But the question is how? People do it differently. Some people gave sacrifice. My ancestors gave sacrifice to the gods in the mountain. Some people go to the river and wash themselves there, hoping for the sins to be forgiven. A lot of people want to know that the sins have been forgiven, but they don't know. But that day, when I accept Jesus, I knew what the Bible said. He died on the cross, his blood will cleanse you from all sin. From that day to this day, I knew that my sins were forgiven. God is my father. I knew that heaven will be my home. You ask anybody, if you die, will you like to go to heaven? Of course. Even a stupid person will say, Yes, I would like to go to heaven, and eternal life is mine. So, Brother, that was the day I realized that the conviction of the Holy Spirit gave me those four things. And so I was so happy. My sins are forgiven. God is my father, heaven will be my home, eternal life is mine. So I forgot. Now you wouldn't believe this, Brad, but believe me. I forgot to ask for the healing. Remember, I was there talking to be healed from the malaria. But I got so excited, I got off my knees, walked out the front door, and met my friend. You know, old friend for years, we have gone to church together. Let's call him Johnny. I said, Johnny, you need to be born again. He said, Why? I said, that's the only way for you to go to heaven. I just got born again a minute ago in my house. I want you to be born again. You know why, Johnny? Because I'm going to heaven and I don't want to go to heaven alone. You're my friend. I want you to be there. To make the long story short, Johnny accepted Jesus. So I said to him, You go that way, Johnny, I'll go the other way. And you know what, Brother Ed? He went north, I went south, and I haven't stopped for 61 years. I'll explain that, but let me finish the story. You see, I forgot to ask Jesus to heal me from the malaria. And I remember as I was walking into the villages and tell people about Jesus, I said, that was dumb of me, stupid. I forgot to ask Jesus. He was talking to me, and I forgot to ask him about healing. But you know what, brother? A month later, I was kind of saying to myself, gee, I feel it has been a month, and this malaria, sickness, you know, when you have malaria, you know, you know you got it. But for at that time, I said, Gee, I haven't had this sick feeling for a month. Maybe I'm healed. I said, let's give this another six months just to be sure. Yeah, don't get excited like my Pentecostal friend, you know, they got a goosebum and they jump up and down. No, no offense. I'm just using this as a way. Just to illustrate something here. I wait for six months, no more malaria. I wait for a year, no more malaria. And you

Embrace The Healer, Get Healing

know what? Today, 61 years later, still there is no more malaria. So the question is I didn't ask for healing, but I have received the healing and the miracle for 61 years. You know why? I didn't ask for healing. I was on looking for healing, but I embrace the healer. And his name is Jesus. When you find a healer, healing come with him. When you find a savior, salvation will be yours. When you find a deliverer, Jesus, deliverance is yours. When you find the redeemer, Jesus, redemption is yours. When you find the creator of the universe, the one who came from heaven, who is the way, the life, and the truth, heaven will be yours.

A Simple Prayer To Receive Jesus

So, Brother Ed, if you don't mind, I want to tell our friends that are listening now. Please, if you have gone to church, you're a good man, you're a good woman, you're a good father, you're a good mother, you're a good son, you're a good daughter, you're successful, or maybe not quite, you're brilliant, or maybe just halfway there. Just kidding, you there. But salvation doesn't come because you bought it, because you do a certain thing. Salvation comes because you embrace the Savior. His name is Jesus. So if you haven't asked Jesus to come into your heart now, this moment is your opportunity. Just simply pray this prayer like I did 61 years ago. Say, Lord Jesus, I'm a sinner. Forgive me from all my sins. You died in the cross, you shed your blood for me. I invite you, accept you into my life. And Holy Spirit, help me to be born again. And I promise you, my friend, the Bible said you have the power and the right to become the child of God. And you know what? Even you only see me in this podcast, one of these days, when you are in heaven, Pastor Adam. I we will be there. If we are there before you, we will welcome you when you enter the gates of heaven. If you are there before us, we will see you then. But authority in the Father's house belongs to you and I. If you receive Jesus as your own personal Savior right now, right here. So do it, my friend. Pray that prayer because this is the day of salvation for you.

Well, we you know what? If you just prayed this prayer or just thought this prayer, just pray right now. Wherever you are, receive Jesus in your life right now. He is the gospel, he is the healing, he is the life, he is the word made flesh that dwell among us, he is your answer. And watch what he'll do. And if you prayed, just say this, say, Jesus, right now, I ask you to come into my life. I am tired of being the leader of my story. I need you to come in and fix me and heal me and make me whole. Maybe heal your body. Come into my life as my savior and my healer and my Lord. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Okay, let me interrupt you there, Ed, because I want to tell the next part of this. Tell me. That's what we want to hear. Yeah.

Acts 2 Fire And Island Revival

After I accepted Jesus and my friend, we went around and considered or or encourage our paper, our friends, young friends, 1920, to be born again. In about two weeks, we have about a hundred of them or so who were born again. So, I want to say this before I finish the story. If you are truly born again, you will never want to keep that good news that your sins are forgiven. Heaven will be my your home, eternal life is yours, and God is the Father. You shouldn't keep that news to yourself. It's not right. As a matter of fact, let me tell you, it's wrong. If you are sick with a certain sickness and you almost died, and somebody came to you and said, Look, drink this, and you shall be well, and give it to you free. And that's where you can find it over there. And you did it and you are well. It wouldn't be right for you to keep that good news from your friend. Heaven is eternal. We can't keep it to ourselves. As a matter of fact, the father, that Pastor Ed here talked about you in this podcast every time that you listen, talk about the loving father. Now, this father was only love you and give us Jesus. He said in the book of Luke, Jesus told a story. The father said to all around him, let us celebrate. Why? Because the loss has come home. So if you have found the father and receive eternal life and forgiveness, make the father happy. Celebrate with the father. How to make the father happy, how to make the angels happy. Jesus told us, when the loss came back to the Father, heaven rejoice, angels rejoice. So the next step for you is to let others know about Jesus, just like I did, and have done it for 61 years. But let me bring up the story from when I embraced Jesus as my Savior. We have a hundred friends, the brother Ed, and one night we were in church. I asked the pastor to give me the key so we can use it, going to church at night and have a Bible study, worship, and pray. First night or first Sunday, that was good. On the second Sunday, I remember the date, September 26, 1965. We are praying together in the church, and suddenly, now if you know your Bible, if you haven't yet, you can read it. In the book of Acts, chapter 2. When the disciples came together, there's a sound of a mighty wind in the building, and the Holy Spirit came like fire. John the Baptist said this about Jesus to his disciples. I baptize you unto this river, into the water. But he that will come after me, Jesus, will baptize you unto the Holy Spirit, enraging fire. So that night as we are praying on September the 26th, the Holy Spirit came like fire, resting on top of the head of all my friends. And people begin to worship the Lord like they did in the book of Acts. Some in English, a friend of mine next to me who never gone to school, didn't know a word of English. She doesn't even know Indonesian, which is our national language. She only speaks the you know tribal language. But that night, when the Holy Spirit and the wind and the fire came upon her and everybody, she spoke perfect English. I heard it, I was surprised, and I remember thinking this is the work of the Holy Spirit, like the book of Acts, chapter 2. So we were excited. And then a friend of mine stood up by the in the by the pulpit and said, Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit are given to us for one purpose and one purpose only. Jesus said it in Acts chapter 1, verse 8. When you receive the Holy Spirit, you shall receive power. Power for what? We think it is the power to perform miracles or to see healing. No, no, no. It is the power to witness, the power to tell who Jesus is, to the laws, from your neighbors to the nations. And we did. From that day, Brother Ed, we went all over the island, walk all over the island, later on, a boat to another island. This last 61 years, I've been in practically every country preaching the gospel and sharing Jesus to the multitude. As a result, now from the little island that I came from, listen to this, brother. The Dutch missionaries came to my island, and for sixty years they have about 80,000 people. 80,000 joined the church. That is wonderful. But that night when the Holy Ghost came, and my friends and I went out everywhere to serve Jesus in six months, not sixty years, in six months, 80,000 people were born again. And so I want to encourage you, my friend, you have accepted Jesus during this podcast. Now receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Open your heart, and just like it happened in the book of Acts, chapter 2, receive the Holy Ghost on fire, because the Holy Spirit will give you the power to witness, to share Jesus. And as you share Jesus, not only you and I, but all our friends will go to heaven. Their sins will be forgiven. They will receive eternal life. And heaven will be full of all our friends through eternity to come, because you today receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and raging

Signs, Wonders, And Global Witness

fire. And you know what the exciting part, Brotherette? You know it, you mentioned to the people, I wrote it in my book like a mighty wind. Wherever we go, not only people got saved, which is number one. That's the most important thing, because it's eternal. Salvation is eternal, heaven is forever. So you you you got to get that first. That's number one. But then the bonus came. As you share Jesus with others, Jesus Himself said in the book of Mark, chapter 16, these signs shall follow them that believe. These signs shall follow them that were born again and share Jesus with others. They shall cast out demons, they shall take up servants, they shall pray for the sick, and the sick shall be healed, they shall chase demons and cast them out. And like Pastor Eyet told you here, I've written in my book like a mighty wind. This last 61 years, we have seen millions all over the world accept Jesus. We have seen the blind see and the crippled walk. I have seen people raise from the dead. I didn't raise them from the dead, but Jesus did, like he did Lazarus. But I'm here to witness to you, to tell you the story that Jesus is resurrection and life. We have seen people raise from the dead. In my little church in the island of Timor that I told you about, Brother Ed, he changed water unto wine. And we use it for our communion services. Now, John and Peter, Jesus changed water unto wine on the wedding night one time, and that's wonderful. In my church, he has done that more than 50 times in this last 61 years. You know why? Because the book of Hebrews said Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And the power that you read and see in the Bible is available today. I have seen the blind see the crippled walk. I have seen Jesus raise people from the dead and all kinds of miracles. I am simply a living witness of who Jesus is. Because you see, the disciples were eyewitnesses. John and Peter, they were eyewitnesses of who Jesus was and what he did 2,000 years ago. Pastorette and I, we are living witnesses of who Jesus is now and here and what he can do in your life. So embrace him, be filled with the Holy Ghost, and share his life, his love, and who he is as the Savior, as the healer to near your neighbors and to the nations. And I promise you, my friend, like what Pastorette and I have seen, you too will become living witnesses of who Jesus is and what he is doing today, just like the disciples were eyewitnesses of who Jesus was and what he did. It is an exciting time to be alive. That's why when Pastor Ed ask me to do that.

I think that's the most exciting time. You know, people, you know, and speak to this a little bit, but you know, a lot of people out there on social media talking about how hard the culture is and reaching people and all this stuff. I've not found that. I found that that Jesus, you know, Jesus actually rose from the dead, guys. Yeah. He's still walking around, he's in you, you carry him where you're. He's here. He's still raising the dead. He's still doing his thing. Oh, yes. And you know, and so when you face people that are tweaked by the devil, or they're trying to discover their identity, or they're trying to do all these kind of things, you know, it's you being when you're on fire, you you create that. So what do you uh give us some keys that God has showed Mel to kind of stay in this place of receiving from the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as a man and and as a beloved son. Give

All right. Well, let me give them something simple today. First of all, embrace the Father and the love that he has given us in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly, receive the gift that Jesus gave us in the person of the Holy Spirit by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. And if you are there and you're ready, I want you to put your right hand on your heart and lift up your left hand and ask the Lord Jesus to give you and baptize you unto the Holy Spirit and fire. Pastor Ed and I are gonna pray for you right now in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. To fill you, to guide you, and to speak to you and give you the direction as to what you need to do. In Jesus' name, receive. And like the Bible said, when you open your heart, you too, right now, right here, this very second, you are engulfed by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Or you may feel it while you're sitting there, like the heat from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet, or whatever feeling you may have, I want to tell you that is God, that is the Holy Spirit. He is real, and he is touching you. And by friend, from this day on, your life will never be the same again. Now, to answer Pastor Ed's question, give you a little principle. I only want to give you one in this podcast. Maybe I'll come back later and we can go from there. For today, for today, I want you to listen to this. Begin to trust and obey him. There's a song, I'm not a singer, so don't worry about it. Trust and obey. For there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey. Moses uncounted the fire of God in the mountain. He heard the voice of God and said, Go to Pharaoh and tell him, Let my people go. Moses trusts. Moses obeyed. The Israelites were set free. As Moses hear the instruction from God, tell it to the people, they trust the obey, and they were set free from the land, the land of bondage. From there the Lord led them to the promised land. Miracles happened. When they're sick, he healed them. When they're hungry, they gave them food. My friend, let me tell you something. That is the simplicity of the Bible. It is not what somebody said or a doctrine somebody has written in a book. It is what the Holy Spirit is saying. If you trust him, you hear his voice and obey him.

You are going to see the release of the power of God and the life of Jesus released in you through you and to the people that you are ministering to. That is the simplest spiritual principle that I can tell you. And if you just follow that, the rest of your days, the Holy Spirit will bring you here, there. And like I was 61 years ago, I don't know exactly what to do, but I embrace Jesus. I listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit. And from there, Brother Ed, He leads you where He wants to go. So giving you principles today doesn't help. But giving you this one thing help. Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Trust and obey. And Brother Ed, you know what I want to do right now?
